The first 24 lectures of core DSP concepts will be presented by A/Prof. Nicolls, and this is a rough schedule. The second set of 24 lectures on wavelets and frames will be presented by Prof. Baghai-Wadji.

DSP Project

You are expected to undertake a substantial project (approximately 10-20 hours) for this course. You may work in groups of two.

Details for this year's project can be found here: project09.pdf (2up). To do this project at least one person in the group should have access to a microprocessor board.

Class Tests

The class test for the core DSP section of the course will be held on 13 April, in the lecture venue at the normal lecture time. Past tests and exams can be found here.

Exam information

The exam consists of two parts: Nominally assignments and projects will count 20% towards the final mark, class tests will count 20%, and the remaining 60% will come from the exam. However, these proportions may be adjusted to give you the maximum benefit. You will be given this information sheet in the exam.
